Licensing?
I can buy licensing from a company I am working for currently as a subcontractor . Would it be beneficial for me and is there usually a fee involved.

- What kind of license are you talking about.. can you be more specific? As far as being a licensed subcontractor.. all you need to do is go to your local city office and register.. the fee is about $150.. but it depends on what county and city.. and state you live in. I live in California. It's about $150 a year and the amount is a write off. Then to file taxes, you just file a Schedule C for self-employed. If the company is paying you as a 1099, then you still need to file a Schedule C with your 1099 earnings less your expenses for running your subcontractor business. Best Wishes!
