How can I find out the licensing restrictions on the pub next door?
Hi this question is about Scotland, hence the use of the word pub! I live next door to a pub, no particular problem . It's a quiet country pub. But I feel that as a neighbour I should be aware of what restrictions the licensing board have set on the landlord For instance are cigarette smokers allowed to take their drinks outside? And if the licensing board was going to grant an extension to the opening hours, or allow a beer garden- heaven forbid- would they ( the licensing board) approach me for my views or to make me aware? How would I obtain this information?
Public Comments
- Phone the Liquor control commission
- Try your local council's licensee department...
- try the council who now license premises
- You local council should be able to give you the information you require but if not they should know who can
- there is always licencing info in my local paper. Try that. x
- To object to anything re this pub you would have to attend the local magistrates court when they are applying for whatever. The licensing officer at the local police station or council should help.
