What is the best/easiest way to accquire patents/copyrights for my poetry, artwork, and short unpublished novels?

1. Mail your original work to yourself, without opening it. That way, if anyone tries to steal your ideas, your work will be sealed in some postal documentation that has a date . And people will trust this and know that if anyone else tried to steal and copyright YOUR work, they'll see the date on the mailings are before their copyright, so they'll believe the Postal Service over their stolen copyright.
